Welcome to Soccer, Chase Lassos

As you can see, Mr. Chase Lassos has joined the boys soccer team. Congrats. Your name finally graced a page of my blog.

Now, moving on. Since we are welcoming a new player amongst us all, I thought it would be a great time to sit down (with my limited time) and reflect on what soccer truly means to one who loves it so much.
I can honestly say that without soccer, I'd probably be fat and alone in life. It gives me character and something that I can always rely on, simply because it's always there. It never judges you, makes fun of you, or anything. It's your best friend, the other part of your heart, your better side.
My heart jumps at the sound of cleats tearing the grass, or the sound of a long hard pass. Practicing for a game, is you rewarding yourself with strengthening your tactics so you can kick some butt. Yes, it requires sweat, blood, and even tears. But I wouldn't trade anything for soccer.
It's not just a sport it's a lifestyle. Something you can't just quite or stop doing. All in or all out. Am I right? I love the way I feel after a perfect bend or after a game. It's what I live for.
Whoever invented soccer should be worshiped as a god. As a god.

Until Next Time,
Madison
